"Ghost Dance for America, 1890" is about the birth of America, the violent history of the 1800’s and how it presages today’s political climate in the United States. The Ghost Dance was a religious movement of the Native Americans in response to the U.S. government’s westward expansion and terrorism against them.
The Ghost Dance died out in 1890 after the bloody Battle of Wounded Knee.

"This Haunting Memory That Is Not My Own" is an experimental essay film oscillating between ethnographic cinema and dystopian climate-fiction. It explores the spectral presence of traumatic pasts, and lost futures, in the bodies and structures around Beirut’s old quarantine district and port.

Filmed with a night vision infrared camera, a hunters’ lair and a derelict house inhabited by bats set the scene for reflections on the link between humankind’s exploitation of the natural world and the outbreak of new virus pandemics.

On a volcanic island, inhabitants are caught in an unending cycle: the threat of impending eruptions, and the burden of past traumas loom over them. Some draw upon myth and religious beliefs to interpret their precarious situation, while others demonstrate resilience, rebuilding their villages from the volcanic rocks. Mirroring the ethereal atmosphere of the island’s landscapes, the film gradually takes on the appearance of the stories it recounts.
